Medical Nutrition Therapy
Prenatal Nutrition
Individualized nutrition support for those expecting. Prenatal nutrition is a critical aspect of a healthy pregnancy, as it lays the foundation for the developing fetus and supports the mother’s well-being. Proper nutrition during this period can help reduce the risk of complications, promote healthy fetal growth, and prepare the body for childbirth.
Some of the prenatal nutrition concerns that can be addressed:
Iron deficiency anemia
Support in navigating safe foods/supplements in pregnancy
General nutrition support for a healthy pregnancy
Postpartum Nutrition
Individualized nutrition support after childbirth. The postpartum period is not just about reaching the 6 week check up with your OB. From critical healing and recovery from birth and delivery, to the nutrition demands of breastfeeding, postpartum nutrition support can provide important interventions for your healing and recovery. There are several aspects of the postpartum period that benefit from nutrition therapy:
Nutrition strategies to support your milk supply
Address parent diet modifications for baby’s food allergies/intolerances
Support for healing and recovery postpartum

Infant food allergies

I am not currently credentialed with any insurance companies, but can provide you with a super bill that you can send to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. If you would like, you can reach out ahead of time to your insurance company and find out if nutrition counseling (ICD-10 code Z71.3 and CPT codes 97802 and 97803 are covered by your plan). If I receive a referral from your provider with additional diagnostic ICD-10 codes, I can provide a more comprehensive superbill.
